For Lent in 2024, the diocese will be releasing a special Lent course based around the seven areas of focus of the refreshed diocesan vision. The full course will be available from the end of January, but you can now register your interest so that you are notified once the course becomes available in the week commencing 29th January.
Whilst this is not a ‘vision course’ (look out for more information on a series of ‘Vision Gatherings’ coming soon!), we hope that it will help to start opening the conversation in your church or small group about these different areas and the part they play in discipleship: individually, as a parish, and as part of the wider diocese. The course will include seven stand-alone sessions, each one based on a different area of focus. Each session will follow the same basic structure, so that you can ‘pick and mix’, deciding which of the seven sessions you’d like to include in your Lent course. Each session will be centred around a Bible passage, and include opening worship, a video reflection, discussion questions, a short prayer and some suggested follow up resources.

Comprised of three 10-week blocks over the course of a year, it is an opportunity to look in detail at ten aspects of discipleship that emerge from the teaching and example of Jesus.
